Now that it is Summer, it is a great time to get out and enjoy the many public pools and splash pads in and around Ann Arbor. Below is a description of some of our favorite pools and splash pads.
Buhr Pool: is located behind Cobblestone Farm, off of Packard. Daily Admission is free for 3 and under, with a paid adult, while children ages 4 to 17 are $4. Adults are $5.
Veterans Memorial Park Pool: is located 2150 Jackson Ave. Daily admission is free for children under 3 years of age, while children ages 4 to 17 are $4. Public swimming is offered Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 8 PM and opens at noon on weekends. There is TOT SPLASH on the weekdays from noon to 1 PM. They have a zero-depth entry pool along with interactive water play. There is also a play structure next to the pool!
Independence Lake: 2600 Jennings Rd, Whitmore Lake
Daily admission for children under 2 is free while residents are $4 and nonresidents are $5. The Splash Pad / water park is open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM. The large water slides and water play structure make it ideal for children of all ages to enjoy water fun!
Canton Parks Splash Playground: 46202 Heritage Park Road, Canton
Open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM, this is a wonderful splash pad that kids can enjoy for FREE! With misting stations, bucket dumping stations, and nearby picnic tables, this is a great spot to enjoy a warm afternoon!
Rolling Hills Water Park: Located in Ypsilanti (7660 Stony Creek Rd.), the water park has fun water activities for children of all ages. On weekdays, they are open from 11 AM to 7 PM and on weekends and holidays from 11 AM to 8 PM. Their fee is $7.00 for residents and $9.00 for non-residents with an extra dollar added to that fee on the weekends. Kids that are 36 inches or shorter are FREE. Some of the water parks features include a zero depth entry pool, body and tube slides, lazy river, splash pads, and sand playground.
